When this record first started playing, I got excited thinking Ostinato was the second coming of Codeine. Well, it’s not that good, but this group is definitely mining a similar territory to Codeine and Rex in their mellower moments and then rocking out like June of 44 when their blood gets to boiling. And it is a decent listen, I can’t really expect anyone to come out with an album as good as “The White Birch” anyways.
